A large portion of students failed to complete the assignment a few weeks ago. The make up opportunity will be accepted at anytime but will be substantially more difficult than a one page paper would have been.
The assignment is a character piece that would be seen in a magazine or well run newspaper. Students are to find someone they don't already know, interview them, and tell their story (with that person's permission). This could be a business owner, an area athlete, an Arnold High School alumni, politician, a local writer, or anyone whose story should be told.
The paper's length will be dependent on the student's goals. For the opportunity to get an A, the paper must be a minimum of FIVE FULL PAGES. If the student would like a B, then the paper must be a minimum of FOUR FULL PAGES. Those who would settle for a C, will be expected to write THREE FULL PAGES. Anything less than three FULL pages will not be accepted. The paper should be in Times New Roman font, double spaced, size twelve font, and with perfect formatting.
